This year has been a roller coaster ride of emotions. In March of this year, my husband was diagnosed with Philadelphia positive Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, pretty far along. He was transported from one hospital to another until he was sent via squad to UVM Medical Center. He has been fighting a long and hard fight with his children being his number one priority, making sure they have everything they need and trying to be with them every minute he can.
Eric will be moved to Boston by the end of next month with hopes that a bone marrow transplant will be successful and he can begin his healing journey.
I currently work full-time and get our beautiful children everywhere they need to be. We have very active children in dance, soccer, karate, as well as other activities. I wouldn't know what to do without my husband's family and all my friends for helping watch my children so I can work and provide what income I can.
Sadly, our insurance does not cover everything, and every step we take forward with Eric's treatment is a step back financially. I hate asking for help; I feel it is my job to be able to provide for my family while Eric is getting the treatment he needs, but my income is not going to be enough to support my growing family as well as trips to Boston so our children can see their dad, as well as medical bills.
I want to thank everyone for all the support they give, whether it be donating or reaching out and giving me support. It has been a long journey, and we are hopeful that this journey will be successful and we will be able to begin a new one with everyone together.
