Can you help save the Farmers Arms Llanybri?

Hi there! 

We are Andy and Laura Jenkins, landlord and landlady of the Farmers Arms Llanybri! We are attempting some crowdfunding to help to pay the bills through this very difficult time, we have stayed open for takeaways throughout the whole pandemic, but with two of us and three young children to support, we are quickly running out of money. Government funding has helped us so far, but without knowing when we will be able to reopen we are beginning to face the reality that we may not be able to reopen at all. 

Our vision for the Farmers was to be a villiage hub, a centre for all members of ourcommunity to get together, with many members of our community being elderly or on their own. We had a vision to create a friendly, happy relaxed atmosphere for all, and tried our hardest to ensure we made a difference to people lives! 

Throughout lockdown we have provided meals every Sunday to our elderly community, run errands and picked up shopping, this was at our own expense. We have not paid ourselves a wage since March and after a very tough Christmas, we have come to the very difficult decision to humbly ask for help. 

We want to keep going. We want to be there for your birthdays, christenings, babyshowers and wakes, be a listening ear when you have had a bad day, or celebrate your work promotion! We’re not ready to give up. 

We know money is tight for everyone, and appreciate that not many people will be able to help, but if you can, we would really appreciate it

If there’s one thing you guys can do for us today is give this a share... we are at a loss with funding, the bills keep on rolling in and the income from takeaways is barely holding it together...
Being such a young business we didn’t qualify for a lot of the government funding, we hear the government talking about all these amazing financial packages, but the criteria is aimed at established businesses that have been trading for more than two years
We are confident that this vaccine will allow us to start trading again this year, but without paying the bills now, we won’t be able to reopen. 100% of all donations will go towards the bills, which will in turn give back to this community
