Help Support Families in Hospital: A Tribute to My Mum

Hi,

My name is Chris, and I’m here to share my story in honor of my incredible mum, Jackie Foster, who bravely fought against cancer until her passing on July 7, 2025.

For a year, my mum battled nervous system cancer, enduring treatment and lengthy hospital stays. The care she received was exceptional, with dedicated staff and top-notch facilities. However, towards the end of her journey, I realized there was a lack of resources for families like ours. With only four beds available for family members, I often found myself sleeping in a chair, exhausted and wishing I could provide more comfort and support to my mum during her final days.

In her memory, I’m committed to making a difference. I’m partnering with a charity to supply inflatable beds, pillows, and care packages to support 50 families. These resources will be reusable and sustainable, ensuring ongoing support for those who need it most during difficult times.

Every donation, no matter how small, will be thoughtfully allocated to enhance the experience of families facing similar challenges. Together, we can create a comfortable environment that helps families stay close to their loved ones when it matters most.
