The Situation in Syria is well-known to all of us, and hence it is our duty to support the oppressed brothers and sisters in our Ummah.
I am therefore collecting money to deliver it myself in December 2013 to Syria insha'Allah, and help out our brothers and sisters within Syria with whatever money is collected, to buy food, medicine etc. I will be leaving with Al-Fatihah Global who recently appeared on BBC to talk about the situation in Syria and what they do to help.
"Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over? And it is Allah who withholds and grants abundance, and to Him you will be returned."
{Surah Baqarah : Verse 245}.
Remember the Hadith that : Whoever relieves a believer's distress of the distressful aspects of this world, Allah will rescue him from a difficulty of the difficulties of the Hereafter. Whoever alleviates [the situation of] one in dire straits who cannot repay his debt, Allah will alleviate his lot in both this world and in the Hereafter
Purify your intentions and make sure to ask your friends, relatives and neighbours to donate to a worthy cause, for the sake of Allah, purely to seek the face of Allah (swt) and to relieve the Muslims in Syria of distress.
If you would like your money to be spent in a certain way i.e. given to a widow, hospital etc please mention it in the comment and I'll keep a list of it and try my utmost best to fulfil your request bi'ithnillah.
This is an Amanah which I will be getting from you and I am nothing but a messenger for you, so all the money received will be taken care of with the greatest care possible to make sure that it reaches the place and people it is intended to reach.
NOTE: The target is £10,000 due by the 10th of December, however from that money I would need to use £700 for the journey, emergencies, breakdowns, travelling etc. I intend to use as little as possible from that £700, and whatever is remaining will go to to the Syrian people. If you strongly feel that you do not want your money to be part of the £700 expenditure, please state so in the comments.
P.S Unfortunately GoFundMe charges a silly 5% of any donations that come in, hence even if you guys donate £10,000, due to the fees it'll be short of £500. So in order to avoid this from happening, you can either do one of the following: - Send directly to my PayPal account, the email being: [email redacted]. Please state in the notes section what you want the money to be spent on, or leave blank if it's general for the Syrian people.

I leave you with a final piece of advice, and that is the statement of Ali ibn Abi Talib, who said that: "The Generous person isn't the one who gives when he is asked, but he gives when he sees that there is a need".
So please, donate whatever you can and "Do not feel ashamed if the amount you give is small, because to refuse the needy is an act of greater shame".
