Syracuse Black Law Students Association BLM FUND

We, the Black Law Students Association at SUCOL, are outraged, disturbed, and quite frankly pained at the continuous and senseless violence against Black people at the hands of law enforcement and white supremacists alike. We, like our brothers and sisters across the globe, join in mourning with the families of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and the many other victims of police brutality and racially motivated violence. 

We are deeply saddened, truly pained, and frustrated. We feel a responsibility to raise awareness and to advocate heartily for the needs of our community. Thus, this statement serves as not only a condemnation, but a call to action for the members of the Syracuse University community. We ask that you stand in solidarity with the Black Law Student Association and more specifically, with the Black community. 

We, the Syracuse University College of Law Black Law Student Association are challenging you, your family, company, and community to support us in fundraising for Black Lives Matter protest organizations, the city of Syracuse youth programs, other various organizations, and a small portion to our Black Law Students Association seeking donations in support of the current movement!

Together we stand. Together we fight. Together we conquer.
