We are eager to share with you our "guh bald fuh wa cause" campaign. Our names are Matthew Preston and Celine Neal and we are both members of the Belize Cancer Society San Ignacio Branch.
Our idea came about when Matthew decided not to cut his hair in November 2018 for a year and on a whim considered going bald and donating his hair to the Belize Cancer Society.
I told him it was a good idea and that I too would like to join in, but unfortunately I cannot donate my hair since it's not unprocessed hair.
After receiving an email of our financial report from our Cancer Society Branch, we were discussing how we could possibly raise more funds.
We decided to create a GoFundMe account for our "guh bald fuh wa cause" campaign.
On October 26th 2019 at the end of our annual Cancer Awareness Walk we will be going live on Facebook so that you all can witness us "guh bald" at the event. We also hope it might inspire you and others to do the same to donate your hair or create other fundraisers to help organizations within your community.
Each year more people are affected by cancer and finance is one of the biggest challenge we face as we try our best to help everyone who seek assistance from the Branch.
We are humbly asking you to help us meet our goal of $3,000USD.
