Sylvia's cancer treatment fund.
Another tragic blow to our family has left us with no options but to fundraise in hopes of covering some of the immense cost for cancer treatment and transportation.
After the tragic loss of my brother (her youngest son) our family fought hard to pick up the pieces and move on with life. She was blessed with 5 beautiful grandchildren that love her deeply.
Unfortunately the happy times were short lived... in 2015 my Dad was crushingly diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and restricted from working.
The heartbreak was not over yet however as shortly after in early 2016 Mom went blind in her left eye and was prevented from working as well for more than 6 months.
Luckily she was allowed to go back to work in early 2017. A short 4 months later disaster struck yet again in April when Mom collapsed suddenly and was rushed to the local hospital.
The local emergency hospital was unable to help her with the limited services they had so she was transferred same day to the next town over to a larger hospital where they located a large cancerous tumor. Thankfully the tumor was removed a few weeks later but to prevent the cancer from traveling any further chemotherapy is required.
Our only option is traveling to Vancouver to consult with a surgeon and establish chemo treatment which will have to be a regular commute back and forth between our home and Vancouver for extensive surgery and treatment.
We are asking for you to assist us in fighting with Mom to make it through this rotten cancer diagnosis.
Any donation and sharing will help to relieve some of the massive cost of travel and treatment.
