Sylis Kalil Manley, though his time on this Earth was short-lived, his presence and light will last forever. Sylis the Strong overcame every obstacle man put in front of him. But sadly we cannot change the fate God has for us. Thank you for all the love and support. Prayers and words of encouragement through this process from family, friends, and strangers have been a testimony within itself.
On June 13th Sylis was flown, from McKinleyville, CA to Oakland Childrens Hospital. Within a day he was diagnosed with SIDs and according to doctors was not expectant to survive longer than 3 days. Through God’s grace, Sylis fought hard for another 45 days with his parents by his side; and on July 31st at 1:35am, still in the loving arms of his parents, Sylis gained his heavenly wings. For 48 days and 3 hours away from home, Mike & Krys have dedicated their entire being into cherishing every moment with this precious angel. Any of you have experienced loss of a child or infant can relate to the overwhelming hurt and confusion Mike & Krys are going through right now. And for many, the thought you don’t want to imagine.
A little over a year ago, Mike & Krys (known by many as the Buddys) made a hard and courageous move from the DMV to the West Coast to make a better life for their children: Isaiah, MJ, Jo’elle, & Ceasar. This is an unforeseen earthquake to the Buddy Family & hopefully as they attempt to put the pieces together; we can outline the foundation by lessening their burden and lightening the load.
All donations are being used for the Sylis Kalil Manley Bereavement Fund. Funds will be given to Michael Manley & Krystine Bethea to be used for memorial costs, medical & personal bills, and day to day expenses to support their family. Neither have been able to work since June 13th. Your donation whether big or small is needed and greatly appreciated.
