Hurricane Michael Relief

On Sunday, October 7th a tropical depression formed in the most southern portion of the Gulf of Mexico.  Within 3 days, a life threatening Category 5 Hurricane had made landfall in the Florida Panhandle.   Although mandatory evacuations were issued for the coastal regions of the Panhandle,  the inlet areas were deemed safe up and until just hours prior to this historic and devastating storm, a storm the Panhandle of Florida has never before seen, ever. As of today, October 15th, hundreds of thousands of people are without electricity, food, water and homes to go back to, basically, it looks like a bomb has destroyed their neighborhoods and communities. This past weekend, my family and I, who live in Destin, FL took supplies to those who were in need, those who were not fortunate to leave due to the Hurricane's rapid approach and eventual destruction.  As we met thousands of those who needed assistance and helped as many as we could, this is about one woman and her family who touched our hearts, her name is Carrie. Carrie is a single mom of three teenage daughters who no longer have anything, no home, no food, no water, no clothes, no car, no phone service, no gasoline, no ability to leave and no immediate family.  She moved to Panama City, FL two years ago from Minnesota to start a new life, to improve her health conditions, to give her daughters hope for a brighter future, that future is now in ruins.  She has no job to go back to as her employers have also lost everything, she is humble, thankful and most of all, selfless as she and her daughters are trying to make the best of a situation most of us will never and hope to never experience in our lifetime. My family will continue to help all we can, each and every day but we are asking for your help for Carrie and her daughters as every little bit truly does make a difference.  Every dollar we collect will go direct to Carrie and her girls, we will personally deliver the funds to Carrie as our strive towards our goal. This is the right thing to do, it is the least we can all do and it is what we can do to make a difference, to improve a family and to restore a families life.
