<div>The multicultural institute is looking for help to raise funds for the "Day Laborer Christmas Event", which is for laborers/domestic workers and their children. We provide them with a hot meal and a gift, and also distribute meals and gifts to people who cannot afford to step away from the street corner as they are looking for work in a time when work can be scarce. We are hoping to provide 240 meal boxes this holiday season, and all meal boxes will be provided by local, women-led small businesses. MI offers job placement assistance, day laborer housing, adult and youth education opportunities, health and immigration services and community food pantries to address inequities in our areas of service
