<div>"Darren Coates, the son of Ian Coates, is taking on the challenge of the half marathon in honor of those affected by the Nottingham attack. He is the son of Ian Coates, one of the victims, who was not just a caretaker at the school but a friend to all the children; as Darren runs each mile, he carries with him the memory of his dad, the strength of a community, and a hope for healing, while raising money for the school where his dad worked—one that was shaped by Ian’s kindness and dedication but now faces a lack of vital resources in a low-poverty area—so every step he takes not only honors those lost but also supports the children and builds a brighter future for the school he loved so dearly.
