Switzer Family Volunteer Trip

Hello,
Our family will be going to Tijuana, Mexico this December 28-30 to build a home for a family in need. During this time we will be joining a group called Youth With A Mission (YWAM) to build the house for a deserving family. YWAM is a non-profit orginization that builds multiple homes every year all across the world. You can learn more about them at their website https://www.ywam.org/.
In this first photo, you can see the condition in which some of the families in Tijuana live. Dirt floors, walls of scraps, no windows, a blanket for a door, and a roof of scrap tin and tarps.
We will be joining a group of 16-20 volunteers to complete a new home in 2 1/2 days.
This next photo shows the last house that our group built (were not on that trip) with YWAM last December. It's only 320 square feet, and has no plumbing. But it has a concrete floor, wood siding, three windows, asphalt shingle roof, electricity, one interior partition, and basic furniture. But the best part is that it is built with a whole lot of love.
The cost to build and simply furnish this home is $8000. 100% of all donations will go directly to the cost of materials. Volunteers pay their own way.
