Switzer Family CZU Lightening Recovery Fund

Donation protected
Over the past few days, the Switzer family lost their home as the CZU Lightning Complex fire raged through the Last Chance community of Davenport, Santa Cruz County. Thankfully the family got out safe with their pets, but they lost everything.  Gabriel has lived in Last Chance on Carter Ranch since he was 14 years old.  For 30 years the family lived on the land and worked the land.  Nova was born in this home 12 years ago and has lived here all her life. Gabe's father Frank was also living on the property and lost his home as well.  The fire came as a surprise, and the family did not have time to rescue most of their belongings.  Because of the fire, Gabriel has lost his main source of income, farming the land.  Nova's mom and stepdad also lost their home in Bonny Doon to this fire.

Donations will be used for finding long term housing, as well as basic amenities such as food, clothes, pet food, furniture and replacing other lost essential items.

This Go Fund Me was organized by Marc and Sarah Brown.  Please help support our friends to rebuild their lives.
