Swingset for East Lake kids

East Lake United Methodist Church is located in a diverse, low-income neighborhood on the east side of Birmingham, Alabama. As a church, we strive to be “In the Neighborhood for Good" by loving our neighbors and reaching out beyond our doors. We want everyone to know that they are loved more than they can possibly imagine!
Our children's playground is a community gathering place used by children and youth in our community, our free after school program for neighborhood children, free children's summer camp, farmers market on church parking lot, and for many special events. To address the food insecurity in the neighborhood, we have used the playground to pass out free lunches and for community potluck meals.
Our current swingset has rusted to the point of despair and we are in need of a new swingset. With your help, we will raise the needed $5,000 to replace the rusted two-seat set with a four-seat swingset, ground covering, and border for use with the children and youth in the East Lake community!
