Swinging Back From a Stroke

Donation protected
One week ago today, my 48 year old brother-in-law, Jimmy Gloth, suffered a massive stroke while playing golf. How could this be when we just returned from a family vacation the week prior?  Our world stopped at the hospital as the ambulance sped in and the helicopter flew off. But here is what we’ve learned this week: Miracles are REAL and prayers are HEARD. The right people have been at the right places, at just the right time. We were told time is what mattered the most for a stroke victim.  So while our world stopped and we stood frozen near a helicopter pad, the clocked raced on and medical teams continued in a flurry of activity. A life-saving procedure began within minutes of arrival to St. Louis and he has been rapidly recovering... Every. Minute. Since. We are overwhelmed with gratitude as we share that Jimmy defied every odd when he was released from St. Louis to return home, where he will return to the local hospital each day, as an out patient, for therapy.

The Gloth family has, and will continue to, incurred a large amount of medical expenses.  Both working parents will remain home for an unknown amount of time as Jimmy progresses and Erin provides care.  A Go Fund Me account has been set up, in their name, to assist with offsetting the mounting bills and expenses. Setting up an account like this is not something we take lightly. We are asking first for your continued prayers and second for a possible monetary contribution, if you feel you would like to assist. Prayers are what have gotten us this far and we will continue to rely on them in the days and weeks ahead.  We are thankful for you and we are thankful for a loving God, who we know is mindful of Jimmy and his family during this unexpected medical situation. We are especially grateful for the incredible progress that Jimmy continues to make, each and every day, on this road to recovery!
