Swim4aMile for Wicklow animal welfare

I am a person with a physical disability and I love swimming and I am doing the challenge every year to raise money for a really good cause.

Wicklow Animal Welfare is a Dog Rescue and Re-homing. We also help educate Travellers on the welfare and health of their animals

It is run and founded by Fiona Gammell in 2006. Fiona has an extensive background in animal welfare and runs her own busy kennels and farm.
Fiona worked as a voluntary Cruelty inspector and was Vice President of the WSPCA for 3 years. Fiona has studied
Animal Care 2002, Animal Grooming 2002, Microchipping and at present is studying for a Law Degree to enable to fight for animal welfare at the grass root level.
Fiona has also received a diploma in Animal Psychology and a Diploma in Horse and Pony Care. Diploma in Law awarded in 2011 and a Batchelor of Arts (Hons) Law Degree awarded in 2013. Fiona has recently completed a Critical Thinking course in UCD.
