Cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats to raise money for Mark Swift and the Air Ambulance.

The challenge "“ cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats in 10 days (940 miles)

Land's End to John O'Groats represents the route traversing the whole length of Great Britain.

From June 8-17th 2013 -  17 amateur riders will be undertaking the ride, completing 70-100 miles with climbs of up to 4,000ft a day.

This is by no means the Tour De France, but we are not Team Sky:.this ride is going to be tough!

The cause "“ Mark Swift's rehabilitation and the Air Ambulance

In May 2012, Mark Swift and some mates were mountain biking in the Lake District, UK.  Unfortunately Mark had an accident towards the end of the ride and suffered serious back and neck injuries leaving him paralysed.

Swift Cycling Club was formed in June 2012 with the main goal of taking a bunch of amateur cyclists on a ride from Land's End to John O'Groats in 2013. We will be raising money for Mark, and the Great North Air Ambulance Service, who saved Mark's life.

We want to raise awareness of the amazing work that the Great North Air Ambulance Service do saving lives every day and to help support Mark on his difficult journey to recovery.Every donation will be split 50/50 between the two causes. If you would like to make a donation under a different split, please email [email redacted].uk with the details.

If you wish to gift aid the proportion of your donation to The Great North Air Ambulance Service, please also email [email redacted].uk with your name, address and donation amount.
