As most of you know, on September 7, the massive Creek Fire swept through our beloved Sweets Mill, creating damage to structures and the land. While we don't know the extent of the loss at this time, we do know we will have to rebuild some structures and initiate a major cleanup of the forest, including fallen trees and burn areas. The Sierra Music Art Institute, aka Sweets Mill , is a non- profit organization that cultivates and fosters traditional music, dance, theater, arts and crafts and environmental stewardship, in community, since the 1970's.
Thank you so much for anything you can spare helping to rebuild our artistic home. We foster inter-generational teaching with a strong focus on our youth and the next generation.
While we seek aid for Sweets Mill, we also ask if you can to dig deeper into your pockets to help beloved family members Dale Livesea and past president Tim Coates in their time of need, having lost everything in the fire themselves. Links for their personal GoFundMe pages are above .
