Help Our Sweet Bean

Less than two weeks ago, we had to put down our 15 year-old, feline lady-of-leisure, Tiger, after a brief battle with lymphoma. A few days after that, Tiger's sweet, adopted sister, Bean, stopped eating and started hiding from us. We took her to our vet to get checked out and after extensive blood work and an ultrasound, she was diagnosed with diabetes and severe pancreatitis. She was sent home with antibiotics, anti-nausea medication, appetite stimulants and a prescription for insulin. A day later, Bean still was not eating or active and was brought to the emergency vet for IV fluids and more testing. Things continued to go down hill as Bean's pancreatitis and inappetence caused her bilirubin to rise. Then on Friday, May 25th, Bean was transferred to VCA Bay Area Veterinary Specialists (BAVS) in San Leandro, CA to have an internist take over her care.

And here we are now, asking for your help. We are so sad at the thought of losing Bean so soon after Tiger. We are hopeful that she can resume life as her lovable, sweet self, but she still needs more time at BAVS to get her back on track.
