Baby Finn

At Finn's 9 month well child visit his pediatrician was concerned about the size and growth pattern of his head. She sent Finn directly to Primary Children's for a CT scan and that showed hydrocephaly and a brain mass. He was admitted immediately afterward. 

The following day, an extensive MRI showed two large tumors that had also spread to other parts of his brain and his spinal cord. On May 26th Finn began to experience back-to-back seizures and had to be incubated. Later, Finn went into surgery at 12:30pm in order to debulk as much as possible to hopefully relieve enough pressure for a shunt or an external drain to be put in.

Biopsy on the tumors will come back on May 31st, but due to the rapid spread of the tumors, doctors are almost certain that they are malignant. 

Within a few days, a beautiful happy family has been completely devastated. Mom Allison and dad Ryan are now spending their days and nights at Primary Children's hospital hoping to hear good news.

There is obviously nothing that any of us can do in order to lessen this heartbreak, but hospital bills and cafeteria costs add up quickly. If you are able to donate, the family will be more than grateful for it.
