Sweet Sabrina needs surgery

This beautiful little princess showed up on our back porch a couple of weeks ago. She was very emaciated and needing help.  She is such a sweet, docile little angel. We started feeding her two cans daily and kibble but even though she was given plenty of food she did not gain as much weight as she should have. 

As soon as we were able to afford it, we took her to into our home and brought her to the vet. She got all her shots, flea and mite medicine and also de wormer. Unfortunately, we were informed of some very devastating news at the end of the visit. The poor baby has breast cancer. She has tumors that need to be removed in order to prolong her life. Otherwise, the prognosis is grim.  I have no idea how we are to afford this, we need help! 

Her quick acclimation to being in a home tells me that she has lived with humans before, and I suspect that these people knew of her condition and decided to desert her. There is no way we are going to let her down, and we are going to be here to give her a nice comfortable home for the rest of her life. If we can figure out how to afford this, it will buy her so much more time.  We need to raise $1500 for her surgery (originally quoted  at $2500), as all of her mammary glands need to be removed and this is the price we were quoted.
