Sweet Home for Bama Farr

They say that the Lord will never give a person more than they can handle, and if thats the case then my Mom is the strongest woman in this world. She started off like most women in her generation by graduating from the University of Alabama in 1967 and falling in love with a military helicopter pilot soon after, but she wasn’t to have the happily ever after she desired. She suffered more  heartbreak than anyone should have ever have too. Beginning in 1971 when her pilot, now fiancée, was killed in action in the Vietnam war. While still in mourning from that loss, she suffered one of her own being gravely injured in a horrific plane crash that resulted in the loss of her eye. She was able to recover from those tragedies with the birth of my brother in 1978, but once again her joy was short lived with his diagnosis of cystic fibrosis. She poured herself into her work, which she had done since the age of 15, determined  to provide a safe and loving home to not only my brother and myself but to many of the friends that constantly went in and out of our house. While building that home she suffered more setbacks including a cancer diagnosis in 1994, and the heartbreaking loss of her son, my brother in 2001 to complications of his disease. Crisis after crisis, I saw my Mom always continue to smile and move forward with faith and gratitude. I was so happy when she was finally able to retire with a comfortable nest egg that she had built over her many years of service at her job, but once again crisis arose with a tennis ball sized brain tumor in 2014 and then again in 2018 when a fall caused a rupture to her breast implant. The breast implant has yet to be addressed due to the  fact that she lost most of that nest egg due to the cost of medical expenses and daily living expenses in 2014, leaving her without much quality of life on whatever social security money she gets each month. With her 75th birthday fast approaching, as well as the hot Alabama summer, I would love to be able to help her repair or replace the A/C unit in the home she lives in now. It has been out since last summer, and suffering through even ONE humid summer with no A/C is enough. Anything helps and would be most appreciated. She has weathered so many storms and this is one that I would like to be able to shelter her from. P.S. if you would rather donate directly to her instead of on here, text me or let me know on F/B and I can give you the address. please don't feel obligated to donate but I would appreciate it if you could share this, thank you so much!!!
