Medical Fund for Sweet Grace

Hello friends,
I want to tell you a story about an amazing family, their beautiful daughter Grace, and their unwavering faith in God.

At 12, after many many exams, tests, and much research (still on-going), Grace was diagnosed with POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome).  Since then they have made numerous weekly trips to All Children's hospital in  St. Pete and to NC to see specialists at Duke University as they continue to "put the pieces together" of Grace's puzzle.  It has been and remains to be a very emotional and stressful journey but through it all they keep leaning into Jesus.

This video explains it so much better.

At a recent lunch date with Susan, she casually mentioned that she and Matt were looking for a weekend job.  I could see the small tears hiding behind her big smile as she laughed about not even being able to turn in the application at Publix because Grace had called her to come back home before she could even drop it off!  ( She said it was a sign from God that it probably was not a good fit).  Susan was previously working as a substitute teacher at her sons' elementary school ( where she was dearly loved) but had to give it up because Grace's needs are many and varied.  My heart just sank.  This family regularly gives so much of themselves to help others in need that when they are faced with challenges they only see their blessings.

Susan reluctantly shared that Grace's prescription bills and medical bills are piling up.  Matt, being full-time military, provides good coverage but many daily prescriptions she needs are not approved through insurance and are paid for out of pocket.  They have tried to switch insurances but because of Grace's pre-existing conditions, she is denied.

The lastest challenge they are facing is the need to start IVIG (Intravenous Immune Goblobulin) treatments. IVIG is used to boost the immune response to serious illness.  In Susan's words " it can be life-changing and is the last resort for earthly healing."  It is a procedure that requires 8 rounds within 6 months and then she will be re-evaluated.  Her doctors want her to start immediately and she is scheduled to begin December 5th and 7th.   Each treatment costs  $4,000-$10,305  with a total of 8 treatments needed with possibly more.  To date, insurance has only approved ONE treatment.

Through all of this, the Davis family remains completely faithful to God.  As a community let's reach out to the Davis family and support them as they work to meet the needs of their sweet daughter Grace.  Any amount will make a big difference in lifting their load.
Please pray with us in continuing to lift up this family to God- the Great Healer!

Many many blessings,
Thank you friends
