My name is Marcie Berry and I am Chairman of the Board of Sweetwater Country Club. As you may all have heard, 13 of our employees were impacted by the devastaion of hurrican harvey. I am asking for donations to help these employees to buy clothes and food, as well as help with repairs for homes and autos. These employees have all submitted applications and all funds received will be distributed in its entirity based on need. At the conclusion of this campaign, I will personally withdraw all funds into my account and and immediately provide a check to Sweetwater Country Club to be distributed to the employees. See below for more information.
The impact of Harvey is obvious throughout our community and surround areas. It is in these heartbreaking times that we also experience inspiring moments and acts that define courage and hope. There is no doubt that all of our lives are going to be different for a while and perhaps for a longer period. Many people were impacted by the flooding of their homes, vehicles, businesses, etc. and there is much loss. Included amongst these that have experienced such great losses are our very own Sweetwater C.C. employees.
As many of you know, SWCC's parent company, CBIGG has established a go-fund-me account to aid employees during this time of need. On behalf of our SWCC Board of Governors, we have set up an additional line of support to help our SWCC employees get back on their feet. This go-fund-me account has been set up to provide SWCC Club Members a direct line to help contribute to restoring the lives of our SWCC employees.
A total of 13 of our employees have suffered personal loss in varying degrees including several that encountered 4-5' of water in their homes, vehicle flooding, etc.
