ArtsJunktion is a community based arts organization in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We repurpose waste materials for creativity and community.
Did you know that ArtsJunktion gets no operational funding? We rely on support from individuals and organizations like you to keep our doors open. And by keeping our doors open, we are able to do the following:
- we supported over 350 different community partners within a 6 month period by providing reusable materials, including teachers, senior centres, neighbourhood associations and organizations like Art City and the Children’s Museum
- nearly 500 people collect materials from us every month, many of them being marginalized individuals, artists with disabilities, new immigrants and inner city youth
- we redirected over 15,000 cubic feet of materials last year and kept them out of the landfill, allowing us to have a lasting, positive impact on the environment
- we offered 24 workshops last year for individuals AND teachers who then teach their students about reusing and repurposing materials, reaching hundreds of students
With your support, we can raise $15,000 to pay our rent and keep our doors open for one year. Your donation, either monthly or one-time, will guarantee that we can continue to do the great work that we do. By making an ongoing monthly donation, your gift of:
$20 per month will keep our doors open for one day
$25 per month pays rent and utilities for a week
$100 per month pays rent and utilities for one month
If you are unable to make an ongoing donation, know that your one time donation also has an impact. It takes:
$6 to process one cubic foot of materials
$50 to sponsor an evening volunteer workbee
$100 to pick up/deliver material donations for one week
$255 to operate the depot for one day
$600 to sponsor our annual Earth Day Celebration
ArtsJunktion is celebrating our 10th anniversary next year! Hundreds of individuals and organizations are directly supported by the work we do. Please support this campaign so we can keep our doors open for another year.
