Our school is a privately run, Christian school that cannot thrive without the support of our parents. I prefer not stating the name for safety & security reasons but I'm happy to exclose any information privately by email. Though taxes are high, limited funding is available. We are at risk of becoming a mere memory.
Now, for the first time in the school's 20 year history, substantial cut downs on staff have had to be made due to insufficient funding. This while structural maintenance and changes are also needed. Many other expenses are encurred, that we as non-staff or administration don't think about on a daily basis, eg. student computers, facilities, maintenance, food catering, etc. Additionally but perhaps most disturbingly, we're also fighting against political forces with an outspoken goal of closing every Christian school.
Many parents have been doing a lot to support, encourage and help out wherever they can, but this has mostly been focussed on a specific class, rather than supporting the school as a whole.
