Help Mike

My new friend, Mike, lost his job, his parents recently died with a reverse mortgage on their house (i.e., he lost the house), and he had a mild stroke about a month ago. He’s now living in his truck in a Walmart parking lot.

1 week at an extended stay is about $350. I’d like to get him setup with a room,  toiletries, and fresh clothes, if possible. He plans to dedicate all of next week to job hunting. His truck may also need work. I’m going to cover the repair shop’s diagnostic fee and maybe the repairs depending on the total.

I had met Mike a year ago at a McDonald’s where I’d go to drink tea and catch up on emails.
