Help for Ava

I'll start by just saying this...Ava is a Star. She has been by my side for 12 years now and has seen me through all the ups and downs, rarely complaining (unless it's cold) and always being her sweet, patient self. Now she needs my help and I'm reaching out to my community to ask for support because she needs more than I am able to provide.
In January of 2020 Ava was diagnosed with kidney disease and I was told not to expect her to hold on much longer. For the last 9 months I have managed her kidney disease and she has been such a champ. Happier and healthier than ever, loving her walks and her naps and most of all, her cat companions.
On Wednesday, Sept. 16 I noticed a knot in her back leg that was swollen and hard and painful. I took her to an emergency vet and was told after extensive bloodwork and a 5 hour wait that it is most likely lymphoma. More testing is needed to further diagnose her condition but I took her to a second vet two days later and was given more detailed information but ultimately the same thing.
Cancer.
I am not expecting to stretch her life out beyond anything reasonable. She saw her 12th birthday come and go and that was one of my main goals. Now I would like to keep her comfortable and manage her symptoms until she lets me know she's ready. Treatment for lymphoma (the honda accord route as I was told by my vet) is steroids and sub q fluids, which I can do at home. Other issues may arise and need further vet attention but I have several wonderful veterinarians working with me to keep her comfortable.
