Team Sophie

I have had the privilege of being Sophie’s teacher twice. Once in TK and once in 2nd Grade. Sophie is  the true definition of beauty, brains and sass. She is a beautiful 9 year old who’s larger than life personality has brought so much joy to everyone who has had the opportunity of being in her presence. 
In June of 2019 she fought stage 4 Primary Intracranial Sarcoma which she beat with Sass. Sophie faced Brain Cancer head on with a big smile and the determination of a true Princess Warrior.

Unfortunately on December  22, 2020 she was diagnosed with B-ALL and will be undergoing a bone marrow transplant at Stanford as soon as a donor is found in the registry. Once she is admitted she will then have a 3-4 month stay in Stanford. 

Sophie’s family has been through so much. Maria has not been able to work during Sophie’s treatment and was just getting ready to start a new job when Sophie was diagnosed. Her husband was also laid off due to the pandemic. The last thing this family needs to worry about is anything financially. Let’s bless this family so they can pour all their focus into Sophie’s treatment and recovery. If you are unable to give we would love for you to join us in praying for Sophie’s full recovery.
