Hello all!

This morning, as I was eating, my very back right tooth broke in half, and my nerve is exposed. I am in TERRIBLE amounts of throbbing pain, and no amount of pain killers are working.

I am not employed at a full time job at the moment, as I am only pursuing content and session work at this time. As that’s hardly enough to pay the bills, my insurance is also fucking me, making one simple root canal, a whopping $1200…

I have been denied for care credit, and this dentist is the cheapest I’ve found. My other option is to remove the tooth completely, as that is still $400, including the bone graph for the plan of a later-in-life implant.

I’ve already had one tooth removed, the tooth right next to the newly broken one, and I’d rather not lose two…

I promise, it’s not just due to lack of hygiene.

I have severe asthma, and my lungs absolutely SUCK. My inhaler and my nebulizer treatments are steroids, and if left on the teeth after inhaled, it can slowly rot my teeth. I have used inhalers since age 15, so often I started building a tolerance to albuterol. I take my inhaler so much, I have to take 6-7 puffs of my emergency inhaler each attack for it to work, on top of my everyday inhaler. I take my nebulizer in heavy emergencies when inhalers are not accessible.

Man. That’s a lot of steroids.

And if that’s not bad enough, I had my gums measured?? I have level 5 gum pockets, meaning the pockets of my gums are the deepest they could possibly be, and they can store a lot of bacteria underneath my teeth. If I do not do the exact routine of dry brushing, wet brushing, flossing, then using my water pick, and finishing with mouth wash, my teeth will literally suffer.

And I STILL have to use teeth whitening strips. ‍↔️

This doesn’t help with how frequently I must take my breathing meds, and how the steroids store in my gums every time they’re taken if I do not preform this hygiene routine… mannnn I have to to sleep with my inhaler under my pillow to breathe in the middle of the night. Imagine your teeth breaking in the process of simply breathing.

I’m doing everything the dentist says, including taking the meds they’ve given me for the infection that previously sprouted in the now-removed tooth hole that is next to the one that just broke.

My teeth have suffered due to my shitty medical bullshit and I simply cannot afford $1.2k on my own to help fix ONE.

If you can help, I will forever be appreciative, as tooth pain is one of the most excruciating pains I’ve actually ever felt in my life.
