Suzie's House Fire Fund

My name is Shirley Saunders, and my dearest cousin, Suzie Campbell, has suffered a major tragedy and loss due to an apartment fire in Solon, IA yesterday evening.  She was out Christmas shopping for her friends and loved ones, and upon returning home, she discovered her apartment was in flames!  In 40-below weather, Suzie was forced to quickly salvage as many things as possible, but it wasn't much.

Luckily, no one was injured, but all tenants were forced to leave their homes.  She is now displaced and currently staying with her grandparents, but is in dire need of help to rebuild her life and start fresh and right before the holidays.

I, myself, lost everything I owned in an apartment fire just a few years ago, so I know first-hand how difficult this situation is - emotionally AND financially.  Not only did she lose her home, but she lost many belongings that people take for granted - toothbrush, deodorant, undergarments, warm winter clothes, etc.

Please find it in your hearts to help my cousin out in any way possible.  Sharing the link on any of your social media accounts is vital in order to spread the word, but donating even just $5 can really make a big difference.  Use the money you would have spent at Starbucks for a great cause and to help a wonderful young woman start from scratch.  Suzie will be using the money raised in this fundraiser to replace belongings she lost in the fire and save for a new place to live.
