Suzi Q's Knockout Breast Cancer

My sister Suzanne was diagnosed with breast cancer last month. This is not her first dealing with cancer. Round one for her was back in the 90's, when she was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma during her second pregnancy. She received chemotherapy and radiation during that time, and ended up delivering a healthy baby boy, which that in itself is a miracle. She overcame the odds and was a resilient fighter in the process. Her strong faith, positive attitude and stubborn personality got her through the difficult times. Prior to Suzanne finding out this horrible news about her breast cancer, she was notified during her cardiologist appointment that open-heart surgery is needed to replace a valve that was damaged from her first bout with cancer. Her team of doctors want to treat the breast cancer before they fix her heart.
With that being said, her doctors have determined that the best treatment option for Suzanne is a double mastectomy. Her surgery is scheduled for Monday, February 12th. Suzanne is a special case due to her history with cancer and receiving radiation treatments to her chest. The doctors are not sure how much of her chest tissue was destroyed due to the radiation she received. This could cause complications with her healing process. I am asking for lots and lots of prayers for Suzanne, keeping in mind that nothing is impossible with God. I am not the fundraising type, but I know Suzanne is going to need a lot of help. She is a mother, grandmother, wife and sister. I think that with the help of family and friends, we could make life a little easier for her. To say that what she is going to have to endure in the next year is going to be difficult is an understatement. I am setting up this fundraiser page for anyone who would like to help. Again, this is round 2 of her battle, lets help her “knock it out”.
