"My Mate Dave Died" @ The Fringe

Sheffield University Theatre Company (SUTCo) is one of the leading student theatre companies in the UK. For the first time in years, we will be going to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with new writing, My Mate Dave Died by Mike Alexander. First performed in October 2017, it sold out its run with an excellent audience reception. 

"When Jimmy’s best friend Dave dies, he is left facing the sad reality that he will never see his friend again. However, when Dave is sent back to the living world to complete his earthly purpose, only visible to Jimmy, it becomes clear that this reunion is more a curse than a blessing. Together, Jimmy and Dave must work out how to break down the walls between living and dead, so that Dave can pass over."

We are excited to be taking this dark-comedy to Greenside's 70-seater Forest Theatre, 20th-25th of August at 13:40-14:50pm.

Going to the Fringe is an incredibly exciting opportunity, but an expensive one - the costs of venue hire, set, costume, transport and publicity quickly add up. SUTCo has thrived for years due to the incredible and consistent support it has had from both the society members and our fantastic audiences. With your help, we can venture further and showcase the talent of our society at the biggest arts festival in the world - so we would deeply appreciate any and all contributions to one of our biggest projects yet!
