Sustainable Community Hub fundraiser

For the last few years, many of us have become increasingly worried about the future of our planet and the impact of it all on our children and future generations. We have felt powerless to do anything beyond the odd token gesture, been confused by recycling and frustratingly swept along on the riptide of inaction. So what can we do about it?

Our Mission since we formed in 2019 has been to equip the local community with the information, skills and resources needed to inspire and enable them to make more sustainable choices in their everyday lives.

Sustainable Community Hub

After over a year of working with the Coop head office, we have secured a 3-year lease on the vacant building next to the florist on Shrivenham High Street (previously Lloyds Bank) and are working on opening the doors in June 2022 with the help of our wonderful volunteer steering committee.

The Hub will initially include the following, with a view to expanding as we become more established;

1. Permanent children's clothing and toy exchange

2. A monthly repair cafe

3. A tool library

4. A scrap store

5. Recycling collection (for items not collected curbside)

6. Worshops, talks and information for sustainable living
