<div>EN//I am Bea. If you know me you will know most of what is written here, but in case you are super generous I will introduce myself. I am from Vigo, a city in Galicia (Spain), and I live in Glasgow, Scotland.

<div>I came to Glasgow to do my master, stayed for my PhD and while still writing my thesis found a job. I am very passionate about sustainability, and that is one of my life drivers. I think we can live by consuming less and more sustainable, having less impact in our environment, and by being more connected to the nature around us.

<div>In this journey of becoming a better version of myself, I applied for the Homeward Bound program, a Sustainability Leadership program for women in STEMM (<a href="https://homewardboundprojects.com.au/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">here</a> if you want to have a look ), that aims to create another leadership style, giving women in sciences and technical disciplines more tools to lead their own careers by developing a different way of leadership, creating a network to row in the same direction to have a positive impact around us.

<div>GOOD NEWS: I have been accepted in this program! and I do believe that refereeing has had a great impact in developing my leadership skills, and increase the confidence in that I actually have some of that. And I would like to follow this path for developing not just my refereeing, but my professional career as a sustainable materials scientist.
</div>

</div>
<div>BAD NEWS: This program costs around £12,000 ($15,795). I am not even close to that in my bank account.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This is why I am looking for funding. To be able to be part of this program, that can act as a stepping stone to further my career. Every donation will be used for this program and the experiential component to be held in Tanzania at the end of November of 2025.

<div>Vine a Glasgow a estudiar un master, me quedé para el doctorado y mientras escribo la tesis trabajo aquí. Me apasiona la sostenibilidad y es una de las cosas que me mueve en la vida. Creo que podemos vivir consumiendo menos y de manera más sostenible, teniendo menor impacto en el medio ambiente, y estando más conectadas con la naturaleza que nos rodea.

<div>En este viaje de convertirme en una mejor versión de mí misma, mandé la solicitud para el programa de Homeward Bound<a href="https://homewardboundprojects.com.au/)," target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">,</a> que es un programa de liderazgo en sostenibilidad orientado a mujeres en disciplinas STEMM (<a href="https://homewardboundprojects.com.au/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">aquí</a> sí quieres echar un ojo), cuyo objetivo es crear otro tipo de liderazgo, dando herramientas a las mujeres en la ciencia para liderar sus carreras desarrollando un estilo de liderazgo distinto para crear una red que reme en la misma dirección para tener un impacto positivo a nuestro alrededor.

<div>BUENAS NOTICIAS: Me han aceptado en este programa! Y creo realmente que mi arbitraje ha tenido un gran impacto en desarrollar mis habilidades de liderazgo, y aumentar la confianza en creer que igual tengo algo de eso. Y me encantaría poder seguir este camino no solo para desarrollar mi arbitraje si no también mi carrera como científica de materiales sostenibles.

<div>MALAS NOTICIAS: este programa cuesta unos 14.000€ ($15,795). Ni siquiera le ando cerca a esta cantidad en mi cuenta del banco.

<div>Y por esto busco financiación. Para poder ser parte de este programa que puede ser una piedra de toque para mi carrera profesional. Toda donación será usada para financiar este programa y la parte de experiencia en Tanzania a finales de Noviembre de 2025.
