On May 28, 2026, Anything But Typical 2026: Breaking Barriers in the Midwest will take place at the Fargo Public Library. This isn’t just another community event—it’s a deliberate, needed step toward a more inclusive Fargo–Moorhead. The free, public gathering will bring together neurodivergent individuals, families, artists, advocates, and organizations for an afternoon of connection, creativity, and real conversation. And here’s the key: We’re not just building an event—we’re building a foundation for ongoing community support.

Your contribution helps power both this year’s success and next year’s expansion: speaker support and accessibility accommodations, documentary screening (“I’ll Start From Here”), inclusive creative materials like Weaving Our Stories, sensory-friendly and accessible event design, venue and equipment costs, and outreach to reach those who need this space most. This ensures the event isn’t just inspiring—it’s equitable and reachable.

With your help, Anything But Typical becomes a yearly flagship event in Fargo–Moorhead, a growing network of advocates, creatives, and organizations, and a model for inclusive, community-first programming in the Midwest. This is how change starts: small, local, and real. Then it grows. Your support will help us keep this event going and accessible for everyone.
