<div>Hi, my name is Tom Hane. I'm here to ask for some help for my mom. She recently suffered an unexpected <strong>aortic aneurysm </strong>which led to a severe blood loss to her brain and limbs. Because of the blood loss to the brain, she also endured a <strong>stroke</strong>. When I arrived at the emergency room I was told to say goodbye to my mom because I'd likely never speak with her again. The particular heart surgery she was receiving had a 10% survival rate during the surgery and a 50% survival rate for the days after. With that being said, <strong>she had a 5% chance to live</strong>. We were all so incredibly happy when we found out she was going to make it. But, she was left with significant impairments. <strong>She lost almost all function of her legs and cannot currently walk.</strong> <strong>Her left arm has about 30% function, and her vision is severely impaired.</strong> For those of you who don't know my mom, she's the most hardworking, loving, caring, and giving woman I know. She'd never ask for help, but she desperately needs it as she is now unable to work and provide.

<div>Susie is already on the path to recovery as her mobility and movement have improved in just a few weeks. However, this will take some time to recover from, but we're hopeful that with the proper care, she will be able to make an almost complete recovery.
