Get Susan to Africa

My wife Susan is running her first half marathon in October to support World Vision, an international organization working to end the clean water crisis by 2030. I recently learned of an opportunity for her to witness in a more direct way the work she is empowering through her run and volunteer work. A team of World Vision staff are offering a few select people the chance to go on a mission trip to see this important work and to visit the children in need of assistance. Susan has this opportunity.
In order to get Susan to Africa for two weeks in July 2019, I am sponsoring a fundraising drive in her honor. You all know Susan - she is a tireless advocate for others and is very uncomfortable asking for her own support. That is where you come in. Funds raised will cover the significant transportation expenses, including the expense World Vision will incur moving her between communities and sponsor children, as well as modest accommodations and other necessary expenses (travel visas, immunizations, meals and other supplies).
Susan has poured herself out for the team and she’s been invited to join in Africa. We are not a voice for the voiceless but rather a microphone to share their brilliant lives and stories here within our city so that more work can be done and we can end the water crisis faster. We carry the mantle of this responsibility heavily and know that our commitment to this is life or death for children in Africa. Let’s move quickly and spread the word of the work happening on the other side of the world to create a ripple effect for clean water!
