Susanna's Medical Journey

Hello all,
As some of you may know, I have been experiencing some unexplained and undiagnosed medical issues for some time now. Since August of 2018, I have experienced daily low grade fevers, severe digestive issues, headaches, and several other bothersome symptoms. Over the past year and a half, I have seen many specialists locally and completed many tests, without a treatable diagnosis being found.
Fast forward to October 2019 when I was admitted to the hospital with concerning neurological symptoms, including weakness, mobility issues, and tremors. I was discharged five days later with a generalized diagnosis and no treatment plan. Since that time, I have continued to struggle with finding an answer to my health questions and concerns.
Due to all of this, I have had to resign from my full-time position as a social worker and focus solely on my health. I have exhausted all of my local medical resources and have started receiving care at a clinic in Ann Arbor, MI. Unfortunately, this clinic does not accept insurance and I am struggling with great financial need to continue treatment on my journey toward health and wellness. This journey includes further testing, treatment medications, and travel expenses.
I am not one to ask for help and have become very uncomfortable in this position but I am truly grateful for the support and love I have received from the people in my life thus far. I appreciate you all reading my story and if you feel inclined and are able to donate, I will always appreciate any further support that may be offered to me. Sending light and love to you all this holiday season.
Thank you,
Susanna Oakley
