Three years ago I had skin melanoma, that was removed. Last year I had a right sided lumpectomy with radiation. I recently was diagnosed with a Meningioma tumor in the front of my head. It was found after I had a seizure. The size of the mass is a golf ball.
I have been scheduled for surgery July 2nd. It will be a 6 hour surgery with 3 day recovery in University Hospital. Dr. Floyd is hoping for full extraction but depends on if any major blood vessels involved. I won’t be able to do anything for 2 weeks and then very limited for 4 additional weeks. Treatment plan after surgery will depend on what they find during surgery and results of the mass. There is a 90% chance that it is not malignant, which is great news!
I am setting up this GOFUNDME account to assist with out of pocket medical expenses. My past medical expenses involving cancer have put a financial strain on my family over the last 3 years and if you are able, please donate. Many of you have given in so many ways, from help with legal documents to setting up a meal train to providing me transportation. I appreciate everything that each of you has done and continue to do.
