Susan's Independence

Susan has never asked for anything, she has always earned it.  

Three years ago, a beautiful, vivacious, energetic friend who had lived a responsible life was stricken with a severe stroke that left her paralyzed and disabled. At that time, she was married, supported her husband, and helped any friend in need.

After the stroke, she began the fight of her life: physical, psychological, and personal. Her husband became abusive and she had no choice but to divorce him. In the divorce settlement, he got half of everything she had. 

Susan has recently purchased a modest condominium and is struggling to get back on her feet. She is at risk of losing her newly purchased home and in need of money for her property taxes and some outstanding bills. Once she gets these in order, she will budget for the future and be able to support herself.
