Susan Lynn Lintott’s Cancer Fund

I want everyone to know how difficult this letter has been for my family to write.   In the beginning of December 2019 our mother, Susan Lintott, was diagnosed in between stage 3 and stage 4 Lung Cancer.  My mother has been a single mother most of our lives and has worked hard, despite many challenges, to provide and keep our family ( Nicole, Amanda, Ashley) together.  This diagnosis is the biggest challenge we have ever faced.  For 2 years my mother has been struggling with fatigue and other symptoms that has prevented her from working regularly.  Her 6 month cough is what prompted her to get extensive testing to find out what was wrong.  Unfortunately we are left with this devastating diagnosis that has, not only pushed us to our brink emotionally but has financially strained us. Our love for our mother knows no bounds and this appeal is all we have to hopefully help our mother recover from this illness.    

 Her treatment will include;

Starting Monday, December 30th, she will be getting 3 hours of Chemo at the Kaiser Wailuku under the care of Dr. Ellen Chuang.  She will be getting this Chemo 6 more times. 

Also on Monday, December 30th, she begins her radiation at the Pacific Cancer Institute in Wailuku under the care of Dr. Falit.  She will be getting this 5 times a week for 33 treatments. 

She will also need several different medications for nausea and other bad side effects from radiation and chemo.

We are facing extraordinary costs with deductibles and co-pays throughout her treatment to fight this disease.  We have premiums to pay to keep her care going.

With money becomes options and comfort ability in times of need. Sometimes it takes a village to gather their collective energies to help provide options. So we reach out today to bare this unsavory news this holiday season, but to give you this site to stay engaged in our mom, Susan’s healing journey, the treatments and funds we will need to raise to keep her options open. Keeping her happy, comfortable and taken care is our number one goal so she may focus solely on her whole body healing.
