Hi, my name is Surya Ramamurthy and I am raising money to work on my eagle scout project.

I am working with the City of Hoover to set up trail signs for the Powerline trail at the Moss Rock Preserve. I will install a total of 15 signposts, each containing a couple of signs. The first sign will have a QR code that leads to the City of Hoover’s website with park information and a custom map created by me. The second sign will contain a QR code to the What3Words app which will display a unique three-word EMS code for that exact location. In an emergency, hikers can call 911 and provide the code so a dispatch unit can be sent out to their location. These signs will be extremely helpful as the current trail system does not contain signs and can be confusing due to the large number of interconnecting and complex trails.
