Surviving January

Over the summer, we incorporated our tutoring company, and while I did well at the time, I ended up pouring a lot of that back into the start-up, and then into several personal financial emergencies.  

After all of that, I wasn't able to work during most of December, and on returning home from the holidays, several of my tutoring clients canceled over the last two weeks due to illness and their own scheduling mishaps.

I had already tried to put off paying several bills on the hope that we'd be able to get back up to speed after the holidays, but now we're in serious danger of becoming overwhelmed.  

I've started driving for Lyft when I don't have tutoring clients, Matthew (my husband) just started a new position at work with a small raise, and I have clients coming in starting next week, but none of that will get us rent on time for the first of February.  We just didn't have the time to get everything together in time, and are now racing the clock to get through this rough patch.  

The amount we're asking for would cover rent for February, and bring our late bills up to date so that we aren't flooded with fees.  The rent went up in January to $1150, and the other $850 will cover our phone, internet, and electric bills, all of which are late.  I am working daily to catch us up, but simply won't have the resources to do so until after this month.
