A few days ago, we received notice that we have 30 days to leave the property our house is on. We live in a mobile home that is on someone else's land, so this is completely legal and we have to comply with what they want. Our assumption is that they already have someone else in mind to purchase the land, as they said they do not care that we've been perfect tenants for over 18 years or that my husband and I just had a baby. They repeatedly said it is non-negotiable and they want us gone.
This leaves us homeless.
Inside our home is my father in law, my mother in law, my husband, my two year old daughter, my three month old son, and myself. At such short notice, there is no way to come up with all of the money ourselves.
We have less than 30 days to either find land that is mobile home ready or clear land, dig a septic tank + well, and move our mobile home. We would like to avoid a mobile home park, as we are now scared that this could happen again at any time, but we are willing to move anywhere in the areas of Jesup, Hinesville, Fleming, Richmond Hill, and Savannah, Georgia.
We have been talking with realtors and calling anyone we can think of for information and prices regarding the move, but we are hoping this campaign will help with some of the financial requirements (progress towards down payments, etc) as well as to spread awareness.
Our credit is not good enough for us to get any substantial loans outright, and though we have been working on bettering it, 30 days is simply not enough time to do so.
By July 6th, our entire family and our mobile home MUST be gone from this property and ANY support (even just sharing) is greatly appreciated.
