Juliette Surprise Hawaii Vacation

I was recently tagged in a Facebook post looking for a makeup artist for a 17-year old girl named Juliet who has a terminal connective tissue disease. She is too sick to go to school but the Kaiser Permanente Hospital she is treated at is having a prom event for all of the kids at the hospital on March 24th.
I jumped at the chance to help make this girl feel beautiful and hopefully distract her even for an evening from all her pain and suffering.
After finding out more about her disease and what it is, my heart broke. This is what I learned...
"She has a mixed connective tissue disease which is where her immune system attacks itself and her vital organs. It attacked her liver, esophagus, and her lungs. It has now progressed into pulmonary fibrosis and it's not like the typical pulmonary fibrosis because it's caused from her own body so lung transplants and the typical treatments won't work so there's really no options other than trying to slow down the mixed connective tissue disease to give her more time and unfortunately everything has failed. She will eventually end up on oxygen and then it attacks the heart and stops the heart and they said that it's 1-3 years, but that's if they can control it and they haven't been able to. It's a slow painful death and the only other option which isn't a guarantee will work causes bladder cancer and a deteriorating brain disease. So she wants to let nature take its course and enjoy what time she has left."
Talk about tears streaming down my face…
Something that was also casually mentioned was that she had the most amazing time in Hawaii a couple years back and her mom is hoping to get her there again this year.
I know it's a long shot and it's NEXT weekend that I'm meeting Juliet and her mom, but I thought it would be so amazing to gather up some donations to gift to her and help contribute to a memorable Hawaii vacation. I truly feel God put this on my heart, so here goes nothing
