Nancy Pasternack needs our help.
In 2013 she discovered she had two bulging discs (L5 & S1) They healed initially (seemingly) but then started deterioriating creating more and more painful episodes.
Last November (2016) things took a dramatic turn and Nancy found she could not stand up for more than a minute without blinding pain.
She has been managing this past year through sheer will.
Nancy is scheduled to go into surgery on Tuesday December 5th for a TLIF procedure. It is a laminectomy to free up the nerve root that is pinched and fusion of several vertebrae to stabilize the back.
Full healing could take up to a year.
We are attempting to raise money to help offset the cost of medical expenses, prescriptions, physical therapy, and meals/groceries until she is (literally) back on her feet.
No amount is too small.
Nancy is a ray of sunshine in our lives and we want her to know she has support throughout her journey of healing.
Good thoughts and prayers are also welcome for Nancy as she prepares for and recovers from this surgery that will give her back her active lifestyle.
We all look forward to seeing Nancy walking in nature, dancing and paddleboarding in her beloved ocean!
