Help Save Luna

Anyone who knows me, knows I would do ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING for my dog. She is my moon, she has kept me alive and pushing on when things were so dark in my life, and she makes my days so much brighter..

And at that, anyone who knows me also knows that I am obnoxiously stubborn, and I wouldn't plead for help unless it was a dire issue...

Last week, after a third bladder infection diagnosis in the last 6 months, Luna had an X-ray completed and I found out that she has a kidney stone that is about 1/3 to 1/2 the size of her bladder causing her frequency, voiding blood, and reoccurring infections.

It has most likely been there since before her rescue years ago when she was extremely malnourished, but was most likely unable to be passed and has since grown due to her high protein diet, and was overlooked due to her calm and stoic temperament.

It is unable to be broken down due to its significant size, and after 3 rounds of antibiotics including combo-drugs, I have been told that if she does not have surgery to open her bladder up and get it out within the next weeks, there is a significant chance she will go septic and succumb to the bacteria as they can never be fully cured.

Kidney stones are ridged and porous, with crevasses that can hide and breed infection, thus any bacteria residing in her bladder can never fully be killed until she has the stone out.


I would do absolutely anything for her, and I have.
.....But I have run almost completely out of emergency money and credit with the expenses of the previous repeated tests/medications/and visits over the last few month. I have booked a surgery date for the end of next week, in hopes that I can scrape together enough for it and the medications.

I am beside myself as I am sure anyone with a fur-baby would be. I am terrified to lose her because I know my life won't ever be the same. Adopting her has saved me in ways I can't begin to explain.

So this is my plea to those who know me, those know my pup, and those who would do anything for their own pet:

Please help me afford this surgery and save her if you can, anything at all would be appreciated.
