Surgery Help for Lexi

As many of you have heard via our recent Facebook post our Lexie girl has had an accident.

Late last night our sweet Lexi girl (12 weeks old)  jumped off the bed in all of her usual adorable excitement... but this time landed wrong and broke her left back femur.

After X-rays and lots of pain meds ($500+) the doctor suggested thousands more dollars for orthopedic surgery or for a less amount to amputate her leg.

Or the other option to have her put down, which we and the kids are adamantly against.

It was a very long night for everyone, but Lexie is home now. Because of where the break is they were unable to split her leg in anyway and we have just been treating with several different pain medications.  She is resting, but obviously still a lot of discomfort. 

I spent the remaining of the night and into the morning researching different orthopedic surgeons in the area. We are still waiting to hear back from anyone that may be able to get her in ASAP (most places we have checked into can’t get her in for days.

Kevin and I are not usually ones to ask for help but several have reached out to us with the desire to help. (Thank you)

We want to try and do everything we can to save Lexie’s leg, despite the costs.  

With the thousands of dollars Kevin and I have just recently spent on our divorces and to try and provide stability for these kiddos again... we strapped as to afford all the care she is going to need. 

There is absolutely no pressure to help, but if you so felt lead to.... thank you a thousand time over. 

We need a win for these kids who have been through so much this past year (plus) ... and they are heartbroken and worried sick for our Lexie girl.
