Surgery for Zoey my Service Dog

Zoey is my best friend. Zoey has been in my life since she turned 7 weeks old, 9 years ago. I found her on PuppyFind.com on an add for puppies to-be-born. I like to say I loved her since before she was born. Zoey means Life in greek.
Zoey is my service dog. She is trained to do something called sensory disruption. That is, when I start to have a flash back from my P.T.S.D. she is able to help me come back to the present moment by interrupting the episode.
Having Zoey with me when I go out of the house enabled me to leave home when I wouldn't have otherwise been able to. I believe with all of my being that I would not be alive today if it weren't for my dear friend Zoey. She has been there for me through thick and thin. She is loyal, friendly, spunky, funny, intelligent and overflowing with love!
This week, Zoey didn't look too good. She was not acting like her usual happy self. I knew there was something wrong when she didn't run to greet our good friend at the door. In the morning I checked on her and her tummy felt hard and she was so weak she could hardly lift her head. I called the vet.
After running diagnostic tests and taking x-rays, they told me that she had Piometra and that if they didn't operate as soon as possible, she could die. When they gave me the estimate all I could do is weep. I can't let Zoey die. Not if there is a way to save her. Not before it's really her time. Zoey is my life.
She had the surgery and I put the charge on a combination of Care Credit (a line of credit for veterinary expenses) and other credit cards. But now I don't know how I am going to pay for it. I am on a fixed income, so have been pretty much living from paycheck to paycheck as it is. I was at a loss to how to survive this. I wasn't sure what to do but ask for help.  My friend suggested I open a GoFundMe. I am hoping for the best. Even $5 is a huge help! I am grateful for anything you could do to help us.
